Scope of Works
- A bulk 30,000 litre storage system
- Dedicated bulk dispersion facility for individual product ranges
- Powder vacuum transfer system
- All associated supporting infrastructure conforming to current standards and legislation
By the use of powder vacuum transfer and the dedication of bulk dispersion vessels to individual product ranges, the possibility of product contamination is virtually eliminated and different products can be run consecutively, allowing a ‘just in time’ system to operate successfully.
Design Challenge
To significantly increase the production of epoxy and polyurethane based products:
- In a space restricted area
- Within a strictly defined capital budget
- To meet the customer’s sensitive time frame
- To meet stringent operator health & safety requirements and environmental issues
AEV required a speedy execution of the project in order to meet increasing customer and market demands. This was a fixed-price project which was successfully delivered on time, overcoming space restriction issues and minimising disruption to AEV’s existing production facility.
